Refresh your scuba diving skills and knowledge. Go over important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials, and problem management.
Haven’t been scuba diving lately? Feeling a bit rusty? The Scuba Review program is just the refresher you need to brush up on your knowledge and skills. A PADI Professional will get you in the water having fun and feeling comfortable again. It’s quick and easy, and a good way to prepare for your next PADI course or get ready for adventure on your next diving vacation.
Prerequisites
To sign up for a Scuba Review, you must be at least 10 years old & have a scuba diver certification or be enrolled in a scuba certification course
If the participant answers yes to any of the medical questions listed then a signed clearance from a doctor, valid within 12 months will be required
Academics
You go over scuba knowledge you learned during your initial training. Then, practice fundamental skills in a pool or a confined water area. You review:
- Safe diving practices
- Dive planning fundamentals
- Problem management
- Breathing air at depth
- Recreational diving and dive tables: basic knowledge
- Recreational diving and dive tables: dive planning
The ‘Scuba Skills Update’ course is particularly beneficial if you:
- Are a PADI Open Water Diver course referral student who wants a refresher prior to making your open water training dives
- Are a PADI Scuba Diver who wants to upgrade to Open Water Diver
- Just haven’t scuba dived in a while
Schedule
The Scuba Review has 3 main steps and you can refresh your skills in 1 day :
- 8:30am – 9:30am : Paper work + theory with a video session
- 9:30am – 10:30am : Swimming pool training to be comfortable
- 1:15pm – 5pm : 2 ocean dives in Playa del Carmen
Included
- Scuba Equipment + tanks + weight. (BCD, Wetsuit 3mm, Regulator, mask, fins, tanks and weight).
- If you want to start to use you own equipment, you can bring it with you.
- Video and theory session
- Pool lessons (1 modules)
- 2 ocean dives in Playa del Carmen
- Water and snacks between the dives
